TDGI Fellows
The Fellowship
A community broader than the councils
The TDGI Fellows bring together experts from government, international organizations, academia, industry and civil society. Each Expert Council focuses on one field. The fellowship is not tied to a single theme: Fellows contribute across the Institute’s work, adding expertise, regional perspectives and practical experience to its councils, convenings and publications.

What Fellows contribute
Fellows serve in their personal capacity, in line with the Institute’s neutrality and independence. They:
- Contribute their expertise when invited, including to the work of the Expert Councils, through written input, consultations and comments on draft outputs
- Take part in two online Fellows sessions a year
- Contribute, where their schedule allows, to TDGI convenings, insights and publications
- Respect the confidentiality of discussions held under the Chatham House Rule
What the fellowship offers
- The title of TDGI Fellow for 2027 to 2028, with a public profile on tdgi.org
- Invitations to the Institute’s flagship gatherings, the Tech Diplomacy Global Assembly and the Tech Diplomacy Global Forum in Paris
- Opportunities to publish insights with TDGI and to speak at its events
- Access to the network of council members and Fellows
- Preferred access to the Institute’s programs, and consideration for council seats in future mandates
THE 2027 TO 2028 MANDATE
The fellowship runs for two years, from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2028. The first Fellows are welcomed at the Tech Diplomacy Global Assembly at 3 Mazarium in Paris on 11 December 2026, where the Expert Councils are also formally seated.
Fellows then meet online twice a year and join the Institute’s work wherever their expertise is needed.

Becoming a Fellow
The fellowship is by invitation. The Institute selects Fellows for their expertise and for balance across regions, genders and sectors, including from among applicants to the Expert Councils whose profiles stand out.
The role is voluntary and held in a personal capacity, for the two-year mandate.
2027 to 2028 mandate: Fellows are selected by invitation.
