Kavya Pearlman

Biography

Kavya Pearlman is the Founder and CEO of XRSI, a global AI safety and emerging-technology research nonprofit operating in the US and Europe. She has spent more than 15 years in governance, risk and compliance, enterprise risk management, and AI governance. She worked at Facebook during the 2016 US presidential election and has also worked at Linden Lab, Allstate, and BAL. Her work focuses on AI safety, emerging-technology governance, and child safety. She advises NIST, the OECD, INTERPOL, the World Economic Forum, and UN bodies. She works across governments, standards bodies, and industry to set safety norms for AI and emerging technologies. She holds an M.S. in Computer and Information Security from DePaul University and is CISM certified.
