Purpose of the role
The Tech Diplomacy Global Institute is looking for a Graphic Designer to own the visual identity of the institute across everything we publish.
You will work closely with a small, international team and with our programme, events and communications leads. Our output ranges from social media campaigns and event branding to flagship publications such as the Global Technology Diplomacy Report and our magazine, which means the role combines fast-turnaround campaign work with longer editorial and layout projects.
What you will do
- Design and produce visuals for our social media channels and digital campaigns, including LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube
- Lay out and produce our reports, publications and magazine, from cover to final print-ready and digital files
- Create event branding and on-site materials for our assemblies, forums and symposia, including stage design assets, signage, badges and programmes
- Maintain and develop the visual identity of the institute, and keep our brand guidelines and template library up to date
- Support the website with page visuals, banners and light front-end updates in WordPress
- Prepare presentation decks and partner-facing materials for the leadership team
- Manage relationships with printers and external suppliers
What we are looking for
- A portfolio showing strong editorial layout work as well as digital and social design
- Command of Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop; Figma and After Effects or Premiere are a plus
- Experience preparing files for professional print
- Comfort working in WordPress
- Fluent English; French or another language is an asset
- The ability to work independently, to hold a deadline, and to keep a consistent visual standard across a high volume of output
- An interest in international affairs, technology policy or institutional communication
What we offer
- A role at the centre of a young institute where your work shapes how the field of tech diplomacy is seen
- A small team, real ownership and direct access to the leadership
- Exposure to an international network of governments, international organisations, industry and academia
Terms
Full time, remote, with working hours aligned to Central European Time.
TDGI is an independent institute in its early years, and a small team. We are straightforward about what that means: the salary is modest, and what this role pays in is access, responsibility and international exposure rather than money. Please include your salary expectation in your application so that we can be equally straightforward with you.
How to apply
Send a CV, a short cover letter and one writing sample of your own authorship, ideally academic or policy oriented, to secretariat@tdgi.org, with the subject line “Graphic Designer”. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
