Dr. Pak Shen Choong

Biography

He is a theoretical physicist specializing in the application of geometric methods to quantum information. In addition to his primary research, he is interested in developing practical applications for near-term quantum algorithms. Beyond his research, he contributes to the development of Southeast Asia’s quantum ecosystem, i.e. the Southeast Asia Quantum Network through research collaborations, capacity building, and public engagement. In Malaysia, he serves as a leader of the Movement for Open Science Access and Inclusive Communities (MOSAIC), a grassroots nonprofit initiative dedicated to advancing literacy in quantum science across the region. He is also a co-founder of Quantum Wings, a quantum education startup that aims to democratize quantum education globally.
