Karla de Jong

Biography

Karla de Jong is Chief Partnerships Officer at the Tech Diplomacy Global Institute, based in San Francisco. Since May 2025 she has been the Institute’s liaison with Silicon Valley, leading its market intelligence work and building partnerships that connect emerging technologies with global policy.

She spent nearly 7 years at Intel Corporation, from 2017 to 2024, as Senior Manager for Technical Product Marketing and Technology Alliances in Intel Industrial Edge. She led technical marketing and product strategy for the Industrial Edge Foundational Software portfolio within a $1 billion business unit, and co-owned product management and go-to-market for 2 Linux Foundation open source projects, the ACRN Hypervisor and Zephyr RTOS. Her work there also covered OT cybersecurity regulation, sales enablement and alliances with OEMs, ISVs and open source foundations. Earlier, at McAfee, she scaled cybersecurity channels across Sub-Saharan Africa and drove OEM product integrations. Her focus areas include product strategy, go-to-market, strategic alliances, edge computing, AI and cybersecurity.
