Dr. Aishwarya Vishwakarma
Biography
Dr Aishwarya Vishwakarma is an experimental physicist and postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Quantum Matter Physics at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, with previous research experience at ETH Zurich. Her research focuses on using scanning tunnelling microscopy and spectroscopy to investigate superconductivity and the electronic properties of quantum materials.
Alongside her experimental research, she develops evidence-based methods for evaluating quantum-computing workloads, with an emphasis on reliability, resource efficiency, and reproducible decision-making. She is also developing Spinorlytic, an early-stage decision-support platform for quantum computing that aims to translate rigorous technical assessments into practical guidance for users and organisations. Her broader interests span fundamental research, experimental infrastructure, reproducible computation, and technology translation, bridging scientific advances with practical applications and pathways to adoption.
She has been selected to serve on the Tech Diplomacy Global Institute’s Quantum Diplomacy Council for the 2027-2028 mandate. Serving in a personal capacity, she aims to contribute a research-grounded perspective to the Council’s work on the post-quantum transition and related standards. Through this role, she hopes to foster dialogue between science, industry, and policy, supporting informed and responsible decision-making on emerging quantum technologies.
