H.E. Anne Marie Engtoft

Biography

Anne Marie Engtoft Larsen, also known as Anne Marie Engtoft Meldgaard, served as Denmark’s Tech Ambassador at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from October 2020 until the end of June 2026, when she left the ministry for the private sector.

Before her appointment she worked at the World Economic Forum from 2017 to 2020, where she led work on the Fourth Industrial Revolution and global public goods, and was a 2017 Global Leadership Fellow. She co-founded an innovation house for student entrepreneurship in Copenhagen and the network Democratic Capital, and worked as a political adviser in the Danish Parliament. She has served on the boards of Copenhagen Business School and the Danish Consumer Council. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in international business and politics from Copenhagen Business School and a master’s degree in international development from the London School of Economics.
