Apply to Join an Expert Council

The Expert Councils of the Tech Diplomacy Global Institute bring together senior figures from government, international organizations, academia, industry, and civil society. Membership is by application and invitation: applications for the 2026–2028 mandate are open until 30 September 2026, and selected candidates are invited to a conversation with the Institute before appointment.

Council members serve in their personal capacity for a renewable two-year term aligned with the Council’s mandate. The Institute maintains geographic, gender, and sectoral balance across all councils as a matter of principle. There is no fee to apply or to serve.

The application takes about ten minutes. You will need a short summary of your relevant experience and a CV in PDF format.

Applications close on 30 September 2026. Appointments will be announced ahead of the Councils’ first plenary sessions.
