Timur Turlov is a Kazakhstani entrepreneur and financier, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Holding Corp., with a market capitalization of $8 billion.

Timur Turlov comments on financial and economic issues in global business publications, gives lectures and reports at international conferences, and is involved in educational projects on an ongoing basis.

According to Forbes Kazakhstan, he is ranked second in the ranking of the Richest Businessmen of Kazakhstan (2025) and fourth in the list of the Most Influential Business Leaders of the Country (2025).

One of the important areas of T. Turlov’s activity is supporting Kazakhstani startups and young entrepreneurs in the IT sector. He is the largest investor in digital projects of Kazakhstan: Sergek Group, Chocofamily Holding, Naimi.kz, Relog, Cerebra, Citix, EasyTap, UpravDom, MED 365 and others. More than $185 million were invested for these purposes.

T. Turlov is actively involved in public activities. Since January 2023, he has headed the Kazakhstan Chess Federation. In May 2024, he took office as chair of the Advisory Committee of the UN Global Compact for Central Asia.

Timur Turlov has been awarded an honorary Order of Kurmet for his contribution to social and economic development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
